There are specific conditions in which air cooling simply cannot be used. For example, at many metallurgical and machine-building enterprises, there is a priori conductive dust in the air. Its entry into the housing is unacceptable.
In order to avoid the described problems, most industrial applications use fanless computers, where the machine body itself acts as a cooling element. It is usually grooved with a large number of heat sinks to increase the heat dissipation surface. Such machines have their own characteristics. They often use processors with low power consumption. This leads to some degradation in performance, but raw processing power has never been the defining feature of industrial computers. The body of these machines heats up noticeably in full accordance with the laws of physics, so they must be placed with this in mind.
